Northside High
joins9000 schools across the nation in celebrating MIX-IT-UP
Millions for kids in
schools across America will be celebrating diversity in a
unique and exciting way on Tuesday. Mix-It-Up at lunch where
they sit with people they don't normally sit with to learn
more about them. There are other activities that the students
have planned including conducting a survey at each grade level
regarding how students view cliques. Some students have
written essays about Mix It Up which may be posted. See
www.mixitup.org
Partners in Education with Northside have been invited to
participate. The gray tee shirts designed by the students
will be prominent on this special day. We appreciate the
leadership of teacher Sue Watson and One Columbus board member
Vicky Partin for their work with this activity.

Dialogue Group
continues at Trinity
Berrien Zettler’s
leadership in pursuing “White privilege” at the Trinity
Dialogue Group continues this Tuesday. Participants have the
option to extend the session beyond the 14th. You
are welcome to participate.
WEDNESDAY, November 15
Race Relations Breakfast – SOUTH
The Race Relations
Breakfast – SOUTH is designed to provide a venue for
addressing issues that relate to the Chattahoochee Valley –
not just Columbus South. This venue provides an alternative
location to Ruth Ann's that meets on the second and fourth
Wednesday. Feel free to bring a friend, offer some
constructive suggestions around issues that you feel should be
addressed. Starting at 7:30 AM, breakfast is served at
Andrea’s Comfort Foods, 520 Brennan Road near Cusseta Road.

“THE JAZZ” comes to Legacy Hall at the RiverCenter
One Columbus presents
The Jazz at Legacy Hall on Sunday, November 19 at
3:00 PM. “The Cleveland Six” will offer a program of classical
and contemporary music not heard in the Chattahoochee Valley
in some time. The bios of these extraordinary musicians are
included in the Press Release attached. Tickets are $35.00 and
can be purchased at the RiiverCenter box office now. Contact

On November 11,
we will honor all those, living and dead, who
served with the U.S. armed forces. They truly deserve our
thanks for what they do and have done.
