**************
The
Springer Opera House's
"To
Kill A Mocking Bird" runs
through February 3, 2008. If
you have not seen this performance by an unusually
outstanding cast, you are missing a real treat.
Google the title to get a synopsis.
The"Talk Back" last night, a chance for
the audience to discuss the play after the show,
revealed the heart, soul and feelings of many
of the participants and Mrs. Parks' tears and her
story of how black families had to
"control" their children anxious to be
like the other kids of privilege told another
side of the history of our country which
should not be soon forgotten. Paul Pierce,
Ron Anderson and the Springer Opera House
leadership team are to be congratulated.
