Saturday, March 8, 2008 - Health Screening and Maintenance Opportunities

The 100 Black Men of Columbus, Inc. are sponsoring two events with which you should be familiar. The Columbus Diverse Health and Fitness Program for the entire family of all races will be conducted on Saturday from 9:00am-10:00am.  This program is designed to bring together a diverse fitness and health community.  It will be held in the parking lot of the Columbus Black History Museum and Archives at 315 8th Street. Consultation with your physician before participating in this program is required. 

The WellCare, Inc. RV will conduct health screening on Saturday from 10am-1pm in the same location. It is scheduled to take place every 2nd Saturday of the Month at the same time.

The First Presbyterian Dialogue Group will select an issue or issues from a local newspaper (from the past week) to explore challenges and opportunities that face Columbus. If you have one you would like to offer, contact Berrien Zettler 706-324-6363   

The one-hour sessions begin at 6:30 pm and are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.  Use the Second Avenue entrance for the church.

The next Race Relations Breakfast will be held at Ruth Ann's on Veterans Parkway on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 7:30 a.m.  You are encouraged to bring a friend with you. $6.00 is asked of participants; however first timers and visitors are our guests.
