O Flag of our Union

O flag of our Union,
To you we'll be true,
To your red and white stripes,
And your stars on the blue;
The emblem of freedom,
The symbol of right,
We children salute you,
O flag fair and bright!

Sunday, June 15, 2008 - Fathers Day

Father's Day is a celebration inaugurated in the early twentieth century to complement Mother's Day in celebrating fatherhood and male parenting, and to honor and commemorate fathers and forefathers. Father's Day is celebrated on a variety of dates worldwide and typically involves gift-giving to fathers and family-oriented activities. This year it will be celebrated on June 15th in most countries. We believe that one of the fundamental underpinnings of the American way of life is the family with fathers playing an important role. Each father is a unique creation that deserves special recognition on his day. To all fathers, Be Blessed.

Thursday, June 26, 2008 - 3rd Annual One Columbus Golf Tournament

Junie Christian has put a different face on the Third Annual Golf Tournament with his interview on CCG's Columbus Connection with Rev. Allen Page, III.

This Columbus native is the pastor of Holsey Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church and One Columbus board liaison for the tournament on Thursday, June 26, 2008 beginning at noon. Page left Columbus to pursue educational and employment opportunities in Atlanta and was headed to Law School when he got the call to ministry. The story of his early contact with golf, his father's influence on him and his vision for One Columbus all make the Golf Tournament much more than just a Sports event. Watch this fascinating story at 9:15 pm and 10:15 am each day on the Government Access Channel. After watching this show, you'll understand what's so unique about the One Columbus Unity Golf Tournaments. Teams and individual golfers can still register by contacting D. J. Jones at 706-681-1136. Details for sponsorships and golf packages are on our website: www.onecolumbus.org

Contact: Allen Page, III 706-323-0049.
