Nominations close TODAY for One
Columbus Community Excellence Award
One Columbus will celebrate its Fifth Anniversary in
2009. During the M. L. King Celebrations, it will recognize a
person or organization by naming them the recipient of
the prestigious
One Columbus
Community Excellence Award
for their work in the field of diversity. The Richard R Miles
award will be given to a high school junior or senior for
similar work in their school and community. Nominations must be
post marked by the end of business Friday, October 31.

November 11, 2008 - Dialogue Group (No meeting on November 3rd)
The First Presbyterian Dialogue Group
will continue its discussion on the topic "The
Marketing (or exploitation) of Race in business"
This bridge building effort toward mutual understanding begins
at 6:30 pm on Tuesday,
November 11.
Note: There will not be a meeting on Election night. Enter the
church from First Avenue across from the CB&T parking garage.

E Pluribus Unum Series Returns
Session 1 Tuesday, November 11
"The Constitution, Then and Now: What
it means to us and why"
is the title of the 4 part series led by CSU's Dr. Tom Dolan
beginning November 11.
In conjunction with Columbus State University, the program is
designed to better unify the Greater Columbus Community around
our common American testament, The Constitution of the United
States of America. This includes an examination of
the fundamental laws and principles that prescribe the nature,
functions, and limits of government.
The four sessions will all be held in Room 100 in the Commerce
and Technology Building on CSU Campus from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM on
the following dates:

December 2 and
Tuesday,
December 9.
