Community Prayer Breakfasts
are held quarterly on the Plaza Level of the Government
Center where people of all faiths gather to pray for the
community.
Dare To Dream Summit
is
an educational and motivational program for high school students
from the Chattahoochee Valley who come together to address some
of the issues of diversity and race relations that face them at
home, in school and in their community. They also learn about
leadership and behavior challenges and how they affect their future.
Dialogue Groups
are one-hour facilitated sessions of diverse
individuals that last at least 5 weeks where individuals from
corporations, institutions, and neighborhoods can participate in
sessions where democratic dialogue among themselves leads to
learning more about one another’s aspirations, cultures,
personal goals, and attitudes. To register as a participant in

E Pluribus Unum is a lecture/discussion series that examines the U. S.
Constitution as the fundamental document to which all Americans
look for guidance concerning the prerogatives of the individual
and the limits of official authority.
Golf Tournament
is an annual fund raising event for One Columbus where sports
persons and others gather at a local golf range and enjoy the
sport while raising funds for One Columbus. It is also an
exciting opportunity to entertain employees and/or clients as
well as promote your organization, products, or services by
distributing information, mingling with golfers, and receiving
official recognition.
Mix-It-Up is
a national day in November when high school youth across the
land are exposed to the values and benefits of diversity. One
Columbus sponsors this event with the MCSD.
Race Relations
Breakfasts are held each the second and fourth Wednesday of the month
(except during the Summer and in December) where participants
find an opportunity to discuss current issues affecting the
community--particularly as they relate to race and
diversity. These sessions are held at Ruth Ann’s Restaurant on
Veteran’s Parkway

Recognition Dinner
the community and to recognize an organization or individual and
a young person that has made a significant contribution to
diversity in the community. The Community Excellence Award is
displayed on the Plaza Level of the Government Center and is
given to an organization or individual. The Richard R. Miles
Youth Award is give to a high school junior or senior for

Study Circles are structured dialogue groups that culminate in action forums
to address identified issues in the community.
Why Should I Care? is
a panel presentation and interactive dialogue by diverse persons
presenting the One Columbus message about creating unity,
respect and acceptance of others. It is a bridge building
activity available to organizations and groups who want to
learn about One Columbus and our methodology.
