Dec. 2 - Constitution Lecture Series:
‘Civil
Liberties and Civil Rights’
Columbus State University
and the One Columbus E. PLURIBUS UNUM committee present “Civil
Liberties and Civil Rights” as the next topic in a four-part
lecture series about the U.S.Constitution, from 7-8:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 2 in Columbus State’s Center for Commerce and
Technology, room 237.
The program is free and open to the public.
Columbus State political science professors are presenting the
lectures for the series titled “The Constitution Then and Now:
What it Means to Us and Why.” The series addresses the
Constitution’s history and the federal-style government it
produced, plus the development of civil liberties and civil
rights and what Americans should expect from their government
in the future. Copies of the Constitution are provided to
participants.
