Biographies

Ron
Hinze
Ron Hinze is the son of a Baptist preacher/associational
missionary; a member, deacon, and Sunday School teacher at the
First Baptist Church in Buena Vista.
He currently serves as the Senior Vice-President of Small
Business Development, the Drugs Don’t Work Program and the
Business One Stop Shop (BOSS).
Ron served in the U.S. Army from 1967 – 1971 as an Infantry
Company Commander and spent a year in Vietnam from. He was
honorably discharged with the rank of Captain, in May, 1971
and began a career in Fort Worth, Texas as a Certified
Financial Planner with American Express Financial Advisors,
Inc. He came District Manager and worked there until 1989 when
he moved to Columbus.
He serves as Treasurer of the Board of Directors of TIC
Federal Credit Union, is a member of the Advisory Board of the
Columbus Tennis Association, is a member of CB&T Community
Resource Center Advisory Board.
He served as a member of the Board of Regions U. S. Chamber
of Commerce Southeast Institute for Organization Management at
the University of Georgia, and a board member of the Urban
League of Greater Columbus.
In 1997, he was elected Vice-Chair of the Board of
Directors of the Valley Partnership which is a local
six-county, three-city economic development partnership.
A graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for
Organization Management, Ron serves on the Executive Committee
and Secretary of One Columbus.
He is married to Trisha and has one son, one step-son and
daughter-in-law with granddaughters and one grandson.
